  • Our day in court

So after much procrastination we finally completed  our re-adoption.  For my faithful readers who are not adoption savvy.  P and E's adoption was completed in the Liberian court system.  Our lovely state actually recognizes an adoption done in a foreign court so we technically did not have to do any more paper work.. hence the procrastination.  But re-adoption allowed us to get a US birth certificate for our children as well as it gave us the opportunity to complete their name change.  So last Wednesday we headed to the county court house.  It was a little hard to explain to the children what we were doing.  In fact for a moment E thought we were leaving her there and she was going to have to go back to Liberia.  It made me sad but gave me another opportunity to explain that No she was not going back that were are her Ma and Pa forever.

When will I learn to lift my chin :)?
